some news about FWB

Tomorrow, October 13th, is a historic day at FWBHS. At 9:15 groundbreaking will occur on the new Viking Stadium and Steve Riggs field. All I can say is.....its been a DAMN long time coming. The school board approved the final budget last week when Mr. Riggs stepped up and added the final contribution to get the stadium. Construction is scheduled to be completed late summer just before the 2006 school year. I will be attending the groundbreaking so I will let everyone know who I see there. There is suppose to be a pep rally after the ceremony as the Vikes will be taking on the Crestview Bulldogs and whoever wins pretty much has the district sewn up. If the Vikes win the district this year it will be there third in a row...here is a picture rendition of what the stadium will look like. I have a better picture and will post it here later if I can find it. All told Steve Riggs has contributed almost 900K in cash (not to mention stock pledges) toward the plan.
