This weeks CFB picks!!!
Notre Dame/USC- Wow, in what is a first for me, these are two teams I hate equally. USC is the best team in the country..PERIOD. And I dont say that because of talent or schedule. I say that because until someone beats them they will hold onto the number 1 spot regardless of how ugly the wins are. Charlie Weiss has done wonders for the Golden Domers. He has brought excitement back to a program that had lacked excitement since the Lou Holtz era. This game is at South Bend and for that very reason it stays close till the end 38-31 Trojans
FSU/Virginia- How come I smell an upset when I come across this game? Probably because FSU plays poorly whenever they travel to Virginia. Remember the very first loss in the ACC for the noles....it was at Virginia. Virginia is a good team but is suffering some major injuries to some key people. FSU has there share of injuries but they are mostly to backups. Look for this to be a tight low scoring affair. 17-14 FSU
Auburn/Arkansas - The tigers should absolutely destroy Houston Nutts Razorbacks...but they probably wont. Tommy Tubberville has major problems with Arkansas espically when he has to travel to fayeteville. However the tigers have WAY to much speed and talent to not get a victory. This one really wont be close if Tubbs can break the HOG jinks. 35-10 Tigers
Florida/LSU- The mighty Gators have to travel to Baton Rouge. LSU is a tough team to figure out. They should be the best in the SEC West but have just not meshed under first year head coach Les Miles. HOWEVER the Gators offensive line is pathetic. If Urban doesnt figure out a way to get Leak out of the pocket it could be a long day for the Crocs!! Its all about the running game UF and with your crappy O-Line its just not gonna happen. This game is a tossup in my opinion so I will go with the .....Tigers 24-21
Alabama/Ole Miss........ROLL TIDE......... 41-14 BAMA
My meaningless pick of the week!!!
Troy University/UL Monroe - Actually this game does have some meaning to me..I spent a year at Troy and have grown to like watching this young program. They have their share of offensive problems this year. Their talented QB from last year didnt make the team due to academics so I they had to go with a transfer as their starting QB. A transfer from a school that CANCELLED their football program. (East Tennessee State University). Dont know squat about UL MOnroe except that they are perrinneal basement dwellers. Lets go with Troy in an offensive slugfest 13-7
